Cultural exchanges in China

It is a funny old thing life. There we are, driving through China, as you do, looking out the windows, taking photos of all these different peoples and cultures and then wammo the watchers become the watched. We are the attraction here. The circus really has come to town, send word there is a weird vehicle full of weird looking people.

Brilliant, turns it all the other way round. So to continue this theme we visited the Irish pub last night and had a horribly expensive Guinness and Pies night...sooooo tasty. George battled through one pint and the use of a knife and fork before calling it a night. We awoke this morning to pictures of Calypso, Jim and Denis in the newspaper, see I was not kidding the circus really is in town.
Chengdu newspaper fame for Jim and Denis
Other than that, a cookery course took place yesterday, I battled, with some limited success, to make bookings for further on. Foot and back massages, clean ones, have been had, sites seen and the Beijing guys got back safely, albeit horribly delayed. We discovered, thanks Sally, a little bakery that makes real cakes and something that is actually almost, nearly, just about, close to, a good copy of, BREAD. Oh it is the simple things in life. Annoyingly yet again the credit cards, and my own one have all been blocked so another hour of painful calls will need to be had, not sure I am feeling up to it at the moment. Ok, other than that, look at the photos, thanks Wendy, and get a good feel for where we have been and what we have ben doing. Laters, CJ
