Oh hey hi again...me here. So what news since the last update.....mmm how to phrase this...when there is a group of people together the conversation does tend to focus around the more basic functions of the body and their impact on the joys of travel. Thus for these conversations to have meaning some fuel needs to be put into the body...and that has been spectacularly done these last few days.
Arriving in Bucurest, as mentioned, the group shot off into town for some sight seeing and dinner but a few of the guys came back and we had a very civilised dinner in camp....tops! Then, as is our want, ever onwards and Eastwards must we go...and so we entered Bulgaria and headed for the cliff top town of Veliko Turnovo and Bulgaria's top camp site/activity centre run by two Brits...I know! Well one roast dinner and one cooked breakfast later we are getting ready to enter Turkey...our first potentially challenging border and the beautiful city of Istanbul...we move from camp to hotel mode as we stay bang slap in the centre of things, allowing for maximum time to explore this fascinating city!
Thus this is, with all likely hood my last European blog entry. I last came through here over ten years ago and oh man have things changed...and very much for the better. We have all bonded as a group and are all well and truly established on Calypso. We have seen some great stuff, castles and the like and had some great food...throw some top truck parties in and the first two weeks have been a blast...as they say, let the good times roll! CJ out
